raglan Adam Walton ar BBC Radio Wales. Buont yn brysur iawn yn ystod y ddau haf diwethaf yn ymddangos mewn gwyliau megis Latitude Festival, lle’i croesawyd ar Lwyfan Cyflwyno’r BBC fel ‘y band mwyaf cyffrous o Gymru ers degawdau’. Mae Adwaith hefyd wedi chwarae yng

Adwaith are Gwenllian, Hollie and Heledd, a post- punk band from Carmarthen, South West Wales. The release of their debut single ‘Pwysau’ at the end of 2016 heralded a new brave and exciting chapter for Welsh music. Building on the success of ‘Pwysau’ they issued another six releases within an adrenalin fuelled two years. All the material has gained vast critical acclaim and extensive radio plays, most noticeably on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio Cymru, BBC Radio 6 and Amazing Radio. Adwaith also recorded a BBC radio session for Huw Stephens in the legendary BBC studios at Maida Vale and had their live set on the BBC Introducing Stage at FOCUS Wales festival, broadcast live on Adam Walton’s BBC Radio Wales show. The last two summers were filled with festival appearancesincluding Latitude Festival where the Band was introduced on the BBC Introducing stage as ‘the most exciting band from Wales in decades’. They also played the Green Man Festival and Gorwelion /Horizons stage at Festival No 6.
Adwaith have also been instrumental in encouraging gender equality within the Welsh music scene with the creation of the FEMME gig nights. FEMME has already had successful sold out shows, with artists as diverse as Ani Glass, Chroma, Serol Serol, Gwenno and the legendary Patricia Morgan from Datblygu sharing the same stage. Adwaith, within a year of releasing their first single, became a headline band with prestigious slots in ‘The Future is Female’ festival and on the Libertino stage at SWN festival. They played their first European festival date in Italy in December 2017 alongside fellow Welsh artist Gruff Rhys. Adwaith, who were selected as one of the BBC Horizons artists for 2018, toured the UK with Gwenno in October and in February 2019 toured as main support for The Joy Formidable on their AAARTH tour. In the middle of all this activity Adwaith managed to record and release a debut album ‘Melyn’, which their label Libertino believes is 'creatively ground breaking and will stand as one of the important albums from Wales alongside the works of Gorky Zygotic Mynci, Super Furry Animals and Gwenno.'
